Amritsar, Punjab (June 29, 2014): Jathedar of Akal Takhat Sahib has reportedly expelled a leader of Budhah Johar educational trust Baldev Singh from the Sikh Panth for ignoring the “orders” of the Akal Takhat Jathedar; while two more members of the trust Niranjan Singh and Paramjeet Singh are “directed” to seek forgiveness from the Akal Takhat, who were declared “Tankhahiya”.
As per details availed by Sikh Siyasat News, a gathering of five Singh Sahibs was held at Akal Takhat led by Giani Gurbachan Singh.
Giani Gurbachan Singh while announcing the punishment, asked the Sikh Panth to boycott Baldev Singh socially, economically, politically, and religiously.
Following a controversy between two rival groups of Budha Johar Education Trust, Jathedar Akal Takhar had directed members of both groups to resign from their posts but members of one group had refused to resign.
