LK Advani arrives to Dera Radha Swami Beas to meet Gurinder Dhillon

Beas, Amritsar: BJP leader LK Advani is visiting Dera Radha Soami Beas to meet its head Gurinder Singh Dhillon. As per media reports the Hindutva leader arrived in Dera Beas yesterday (Oct. 17) and he is expected to stay in Dera till this (Oct. 18) afternoon.

LK Advani’s visits to Dera Beas has a history but his recent visit attains special significance in wake of increased RSS activities in Punjab and recent adverse developments in relationship between BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). There are speculations that BJP wants to harvest political crop of one of the most influential dera in Punjab.

The BJP was acting as junior partner to Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) in Punjab for past few decades but in wake of last Lok Sabha election results the party is in mood of throwing away the jacket of junior partner and want to be boss on it’s own.

As per media reports Advani landed at Amritsar airport at around 6.45 pm Saturday (Oct. 19) where he was welcomed by Punjab BJP chief Kamal Sharma besides other state leaders of the saffron party.

Advani took tea with the BJP leaders at the Airport and straightway moved toward Beas. At Beas, he is expected to stay put till Sunday afternoon.

It is notable that in Dera Radha Swami chief Gurinder Dhillon held a meeting with Hindutva fountain head RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in Mansa few months back.
