Hoshiarpur, Punjab: The Dal Khalsa with the active support of like-minded groups will hold convention on Nov 5 at Chandigarh to mark 35th year of 1984 Sikh genocide.

Commemorating the genocide week, the organization has decided to hold discussion and deliberations on politics of genocide being perpetuated by Indian mainstream parties against minorities since Nov 1984.

Party leader H S Dhami and secretary Ranbir Singh said we are living in dangerous times and we fear more threats as time passes by as the rulers of this country are clearly wedded to the concept and design of a Hindu India.

In the aftermath of Delhi massacre, while the Sikh community was struggling to get justice for the victims, the Indian state sharpens its edges to repeat the mayhem in a different format in Gujarat, Orissa and Kashmir. Of late, the Indian polity has touched a new low when the RSS – the guiding force behind present day rulers unashamedly declare India as a Hindu rashtra.

Since last many years, we have been protesting on this day to shame the rulers but to no avail. Justice still eludes the aggrieved community despite various governments constituting dozens of commissions and SIT’s to unearth the conspiracy and unmask the perpetrators. All probes turned out to be damp squib, said they.

Representatives of panthic groups, human rights activists and students organizations will participate in the meet to pay homage to the victims of the attempted genocide and express their concerns on Indian governments fascist agenda.
