Chandigarh: The ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) stated in a written press release issued yesterday that every political party was born out of people’s expectations, grew on sacrifices of its members and survived on its achievements and “parties mushrooming months prior to elections could never rise to the expectations of the people as they were bound by ambition and opportunism alone.
The statement came after AAP rebel Dr. Dharamvir Gandhi and former BJP MP Navjot Sidhu announced to form seperate political fronts to contest Punjab polls 2017.
In a statement issued from Chandigarh senior SAD (Badal) leaders & MPs Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa and Balwinder Singh Bhundur accused the AAP for “back stabbing the farmers of the State on the issue of the SYL canal”.
