NIA Gets 5 Days Remand Of ‘Bagga-Shera’ & Jimmy Singh

Mohali: It is learnt that both Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera presented by the National Investigating Agency (NIA) before the special NIA court in Mohali on Thursday, were sent to Judicial Custody till 20th January 2018, by Additional Sessions Judge I Ms Anshul Berry. They were presented in case RC/23/17/DLI pertains to the killing of Father-Son duo Dera Sauda Sirsa members.

Additionally, the NIA here on Thursday arrested and  secured the police remand of both Ramandeep Singh Bagga and Hardeep Singh Shera for 5 days, that id till 26th December 2017, in case RC/27/17/DLI that related to the killing of Amit Sharma, spokesman of ‘Pro-Hindutva’ Hindu Takht organisation in Ludhiana district.

The defense council of ‘Bagga-Shera’ Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur today also moved an application before the special NIA court, Mohali  stating that if  both Bagga and Shera are needed in all the cases investigated by the NIA then the agency should arrest them in all the cases at once and ask for a collective remand and proceed accordingly.

Meanwhile, Jimmiy Singh @ Taljit Singh in case RC/26/17/DLI which related to the incident involving firing at Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) shakha in the city of Ludhiana, was today arrested by the NIA in this case and managed to secure his police custody till 26th December 2017.
