Amritsar: The organisers of the Sarbat Khalsa 2015, who were charged under sedition and UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act) by the Punjab police for holding the Nov. 10 Sarbat Khalsa 2015 samagam at village Chabba near Tarn Taran, have reportedly been denied bail by a local court.
A family member of Gurdeep Singh Bathinda told Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) that Advocate Rajbir Singh Khalra had moved a bail plea in a local court on behalf of United Akali Dal (UAD) chief Mohkam Singh, Gurdeep Singh Bathinda and Satnam Singh Manawan but the court has rejected the bail plea.
Yadwinder Singh Bathinda, son of UAD leader Gurdeep Singh Bathinda, alleged that the courts were working under political influence and the organisers of the Sarbat Khalsa 2015 were denied bail due to political reasons.
