Amritsar: Lok Bhalai Insaaf Welfare Society and Akhand Kirtani Jatha have filed a complaint with Amritsar police commissioner seeking action against a Nagpur based private publisher for distorting Sikh history in books. The had come into light when a section of media highlighted that booklets published by a Nagpur based publisher has attempted to saffronise the history of Sikh Gurus.
Members and supporters of Lok Bhalai Insaaf Welfare Society led by Baldev Singh Sirsa and the Akhand Kirtani Jatha took out a march from a Gurdwara Sahib in Ranjit Avenue to the office of Amritsar police commissioner and then handed over a complaint against the publisher to Commissioner S. S. Srivastava.
Talking to the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Baldev Singh Sirsa said that the “Nagpuri books” are full of misinformation, lies and Hindutva propaganda about Sikh Guru and the Sikhs. He said that such distortion of Sikh history can not be tolerated at any cost.
