Kashmiri Leader SAS Geelani Passed Away at 92

Srinagar/Chandigarh: Senior pro-freedom Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani passed away after a long illness in Srinagar on Wednesday (1 Sept 2021) night.
He was 92. Media reports say that Geelani breathed his last around 10:30 pm at his residence in Hyderpora in uptown Srinagar.

SAS Geelani, who was suffering from multiple ailments, had been keeping unwell for the past many years.
As per media reports, Indian administration has imposed restrictions imposed including suspension of internet services in the Valley after Geelani’s death.
