[Rare Document] Truth About Punjab (S.G.P.C White Paper)

Chandigarh: “Truth About Punjab S.G.P.C. White Paper” was published by the Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee, Amritsar.

Forward to this document published under the name of Jathedar Gurcharan Singh Tahura, the then president of SGPC states that ‘[t]he need to prepare a clear and comprehensive document on the Punjab problem has been felt by the Sikh community for a very long time. With the release of this White Paper, the S.G.P.C. has fulfilled this long felt need of the community. It takes cognisance of all aspects of the problem-historical, social-economic, political and ideological”.

In the recent times it was realised that the document was difficult to find. During our release to a project related to Indian Army’s June 1984 attack on Dabar Sahib and other Sikh Gurdwaras, the Sikh Siyasat was able to find a printed copy of the document. SSN decided to scan the document and make it available freely through the internet.
