Patiala: As per the media reports former Aam Adami party (AAP) leader and member of parliament from Patiala Dr Dharamvir Gandhi here on Monday, has sought return of rare Sikh manuscripts, historical documents and scripts “taken away by the armed forces during the military invasion of Darbar Sahib complex in 1984. He has written a letter to Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in this regard.
Sikh history has been an inspiration for generations and was not only related to religion but also to the heroic efforts of the people who fought for the rights of the oppressed and it was a treasure trove for all, notes The Tribune.
Furthermore, he stated that he had been getting calls from many intellectuals from Punjab and NRI diaspora frequently that the Centre must hand over the missing documents and return them to the SGPC so that they could be exhibited in the Sikh Ajaib Ghar (museum) for the coming generations.
