Senior Akali Leader Kuldip Singh Wadala Passes Away

Jalandhar: Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) and SGPC member Kuldip Singh Wadala today passed away. The Tribune (TT) report states that he died of cardiac arrest. He was 86.

Kuldip Singh Wadala had led a campaign for years seeking open access to Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib (Pakistan) through a proposed corridor connecting Dera Baba Nanak (east Punjab) and Kartarpur Sahib (west Pakistan). His son Gurpartap Singh Wadala is a sitting MLA from Nakodar constituency.
