Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) here on Sunday postponed its executive committee meeting — scheduled to be held here on August 8 — to August 18. The executive committee meeting will now be conducted at the gurdwara in Kurukshetra.
While referring to the sources inside the Sikh Gurudwara body the media reports said that important Sikh matters, including the appointment of the officiating Jathedar of Takht Kesgarh Sahib, are expected to figure in the meeting. A decision is likely to be taken in this regard as Jathedar Takht Kesgarh Sahib Giani Mal Singh is not keeping well. In his absence, the officiating Jathedar — after appointment — could carry out the duties.
