SGPC Slams NDTV for Hurting Sikh sentiments; Seeks apology for using Darbar Sahib image for Sawachh Bharat Ads

Amritsar: The Shiromani Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (SGPC) has slammed NDTV, a private news channel, for fixing Logo of Indian Government’s Swachh Bharat move and advertisements of Harpic and Dettol over an image of Darbar Sahib.

In a press statement issued today, the SGPC said that the by using the image of Darbar Sahib (Amritsar) in a derogatory manner the NDTV has hurt the Sikh sentiments and the channel should apologise for the same.

SGPC’s additional secretary Daljeet Singh Bedi said that the NDTV had installed a promotional camp outside the Darbar Sahib complex yesterday that was removed in wake of the ‘Maryada‘.
