Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh’s Wife Bibi Jasbir Kaur Passes Away

New Delhi: Bibi Jasbir Kaur, wife of Shaheed Kehar Singh, passed away here today. She was staying with her son S. Charanjit Singh in Delhi and was not keeping well for some time.

Shaheed Kehar Singh was given death sentence by the Indian state in a case related to execution of the then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi by Shaheed Beant Singh and Shaheed Satwant Singh on October 31, 1984. Indira Gandhi was guilty of ordering army attack on Darbar Sahib and other Sikh Gurdwaras in Punjab and adjoining states in June 1984.

While Bhai Beant Singh had attained martyred by other bodyguards of Indira Gandhi on Oct. 31, 1984 while Bhai Kehar Singh and Bhai Satwant Singh were martyred in Tihar Jail on 6 January, 1989.
