Southall, United Kingdom (June 14, 2013): It is learnt that a Sikh Educational Conference is going to be held on July 13, 2013 (Saturday) at Khalsa Primary School, Norwood Green Road, Southall.
As per information Dr Arvind-Pal Singh Mandair, University of Michigan; Harinder Singh, Sikh Research Institute; Dr Jasjit Singh, University of Leeds; Jasmine Kaur, Sikh Research Institute; Dr Kanwaljit Kaur Singh, Network of Sikh Organisations; Navleen Kaur, Shine Project (Eton) & AFAN; Dr Opinderjit Kaur Takhar, University of Wolverhampton and Roop Singh, Sikh Educational Advisory Service would make presentation during the conference.
As per information shared by the organizers “[t]he Sikh Educational Conference 2013 aims to bring together all those involved in the transmission of Sikh education and culture to those aged between 4 and 18. They are principals, teachers, academics, students, artists and storytellers. They are lay-leaders and parents, entrepreneurs and social media gurus. They work or volunteer in State Schools, Public Schools, Sunday Schools, Sikh camps, Panjabi schools and Gurdwaras to name but a few”.
“They come together to share ideas, learn from each other and to solve problems facing them in their professional and personal lives with regards to Sikh education. They come together to advocate for Sikh education and to improve the quality of Sikh education offered in their home communities”.
