Bhawanigarh, Punjab: Sikh Jatha Malwa, an organization committed to preserving and promoting the traditional values of Sikhi, has launched a seven-day summer camp for children. The camp commenced on June 7, 2025, at the Bhawanigarh-based parah (camp center) of the Sikh Jatha Malwa and will conclude on June 15.
The camp is hosting a select group of young participants who are engaging in a diverse range of educational and physical activities aimed at nurturing both spiritual and martial aspects of Sikh heritage.
The activities include Muharni (practice of Punjabi/Gurmukhi phonetics), Shastar Vidya (Gatka or traditional Sikh martial art), Nishanebazi (target shooting), Ghol (wrestling), and Ghursawari (horse riding).
This initiative is part of the Sikh Jatha Malwa’s ongoing efforts to cultivate discipline, cultural awareness, and traditional skills among the younger generation in a structured and immersive environment.
