Sikh Political Prisoner Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera Marries to Bibi Gurjeet Kaur

Amritsar: Sikh Political Prisoner Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera (55), who is undergoing life sentence at the Central Jail Amritsar, married Bibi Gurjeet Kaur of Anandpur Sahib at a Gurdwara Sahib near Rayya on Friday.
Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera, a native of Jallupur Khera village in Amritsar, has been behind bars for the past about 26 years, which is more than prevelant term of imprisonment which entitles a person to be granted premature release. He is presently on parole.

Bhai Gurdeep Singh Khera was shifted to the Central Jail from Karnataka’s Gulbarga jail on June 25, 2015.
Another Sikh Political Prisoner Prof. Devinderpal Singh Bhullar, who was shifted to the Central Jail about two years ago and is presently on parole, also attended the marriage with his wife, Navneet Kaur.
