New Delhi, India (July 17, 2013): It is learnt from certain media reports that Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) president S. Simranjit Singh Mann met Sarna brothers of Shiomani Akali Dal (Delhi). As per information S. Mann held a meeting with Paramjeet Singh Sarna, former president of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC), and his bother Harwinder Singh Sarna at Paramjeet Singh Sarna’s Delhi based residence.
As per reports S. Mann discussed the issue of making a joint election alliance against Punjab’s ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal). He called for setting aside the differences in order to form a joint front against ‘corrupt’ Badal regime.
It is notable that previously S. Mann had been terming all any election alliance with Sarna brothers as an act of ‘betrayal’ with the Sikh panth, because of pro-Congress image of Sarna brothers; but this time he has himself initiated efforts for making such alliance and is saying that there is no other way out except the unity among all other factions of Shiromani Akali Dal against the Badal regime.
