Illegal detention of Sikh activists is a part of the repression and reign of terror: GS Pannu
Ludhiana (November 3, 2010): Sikhs For Justice (SFJ), a US based human rights advocacy group, through a statement sent to SikhSiyasat Network, has strongly condemned, the illegal detention of Sikh leaders, KAC Convener Bhai Mohkam Singh, Dal Khalsa leaders Harcharanjit Singh Dhami and Kanwarpal Singh Bittu, Baba Baljit Singh Daduwal, AISSF President Karnail Singh Peermohammad, Harpal Singh Cheema, Kulbeer Singh Barapind, Jasvir Singh Khandur, Santokh Singh Salana, Harpreet Singh Dadheri, Devinder Singh Sodhi (AISSF), Pardeep Singh Poadhi (SSF) and other human right activists, for raising voice for the justice for November 1984 Sikh Genocide victims. The Punjab Bandh call was given to show solidarity with the victims of November 1984 Sikh Genocide who have been denied justice for the last twenty six years.Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor to “Sikhs For Justice” stated it is very disturbing that SAD-BJP government which came to power assuring justice to the victims of November 1984 Sikh Genocide has now joined hands with the Central government to defeat the demand for justice. The attempt by the Central-State government to portray law abiding Sikhs leaders, activists and organizations as “Radicals” is very dangerous card being played to suppress the voice of the Sikh community stated attorney Pannun.
