Special Talk with Advo. Jaspal Singh Manjhpur about Jagtar Singh Johal and Other Cases

Chandigarh: Jagtar Singh Jaggi, a U. K. citizen, was in Punjab to tie wed knot- which he did on October 16. He was arrested by the Punjab police on November 4 from Jalandhar. Before Jagtar Singh Jaggi, another person named Taljit Singh @ Jimmy Singh was arrested by the Punjab police upon his arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport on Ocober 31. After Jagtar Singh Jaggi’s arrest, police brought Dharminder Singh Guggni and Harminder Singh Mintoo from jail on production warrants and it was followed by arrest of two more persons, named Ramandeep Singh and Hardeep Singh Shera.

Punjab CM Amarinder Singh and Punjab police chief held a joint press conference in which the declared that various high profile cases related to killings of RSS leaders Jagdish Gagneja and Ravinder Gosain and others were solved.

Sikh Siyasat editor Parmjeet Singh talked to defence counsel Advocate Jaspal Singh Manjhpur about Jagtar Singh Jaggi and other cases.

Details of arrests and detentions in these cases were discussed in detail along with related issues such as allegations of custodial torture of Jagtar Singh Johal by Punjab police.
