Sukhbir Badal pleads “Not Guilty” in 1999 assault case

Fairdkot, Punjab: Punjab’s Deputy Chief Minister (Dy. CM) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) president Sukhbir Badal reportedly appeared in a local court in Faridkot yesterday (Feb. 05) in connection with a 17 years old assault case.

Sukhbir Badal is one of the eight accused in this case that was registered in 1999. Punjab Deputy CM pleaded ”not guilty” before the court of Judicial Magistrate (First Class), Faridkot.

Sukhbir Badal and seven other accused are facing criminal charges for allegedly assaulting Kotkapura resident Naresh Kumar Sehgal on September 5, 1999.
