The SCI is likely to hear Haryana’s plea on Monday (Nov. 21), reports news agency ANI in one of its Tweets.
Notably, the Punjab state assembly has passed a bill to de-notify the SYL in last assembly session but the bill was not signed by the governor but the ruling party supporters had started levelling the under-constructed portion of the controversial canal in Punjab. At that time too, Haryana government had moved to the SCI seeking status quo order, which was granted by India’s apex court.
