To support UN “1984 Sikh Genocide” complaint, SFJ to hold global signature campaign on Nov 17

New York, US (November 15, 2013): Commemorating the upcoming Gurupurb of Sri Guru Nanank Dev Ji, the Sikh human rights groups are commencing the global signature campaign in support of Sikh Genocide Petition pending before United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC). On November 17, Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) and All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) will hold 1984 Sikh Genocide Petition Signature Camps in Gurudwaras throughout the world.

Amritsar (October 21, 2103): On the 29th year of 1984 genocidal attacks on Sikh community, Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh issued a historic edict directing the Sikh groups to submit a “Genocide Petition” with the United Nations in Geneva on November 01, 2013. “I ask All India Sikhs Students Federation (AISSF) and ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ) who have collected million signatures on “Sikh Genocide” petition to file it with United Nations on November 1, and we hope that UN will deliver justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide”.
