Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) has accessed a copy of "Will" sent by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa to Akal Takht Sahib. Bhai Gurbaksh Singh is on continuous hunger strike since November 14, 2013 seeking release of six Sikh political prisoners languishing in various jails in India even after completing the terms of their sentences.

Amritsar, Punjab (November 26, 2013): It is learnt that a Jatha of Sikh women visited Akal Takht Sahib on November 25, 2013 to tender a memorandum to Jathedar Akal Takht Giani Gurbachan Singh seeking his help to secure release certain Sikh prisoners who were not released by India despite serving full term of their sentences. As per reports Giani Gurbachan Singh was not available to receive the memorandum in person. The memorandum was received by S. Bhupinder Singh Sarpanch on behalf of Giani Gurbachan Singh.

Amritsar, Punjab (November 6, 2013): It is learnt that various Sikh groups have demanded construction of a memorial for Shaheed Beant Singh, Shaheed Satwant Singh and Shaheed Kehar Singh. Bhai Beant Singh and Satwant Singh had killed Indira Gandhi on October 31, 1984 – Indira Gandhi was responsible for ordering attack on Darbar Sahib and other Sikh Gurdwaras in June 1984. Bhai Beant Singh was had attained martyrdom while assasinating Gandhi whereas Bhai Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh were sentenced to death by Indian courts.

After the Ardas, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh, in his address, regretted that even after 29 years of the brutal massacre of the Sikhs there had been no justice for the victims. The wounds inflicted on the Sikhs have not yet healed, he added.

Amritsar (October 21, 2103): On the 29th year of 1984 genocidal attacks on Sikh community, Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh issued a historic edict directing the Sikh groups to submit a “Genocide Petition” with the United Nations in Geneva on November 01, 2013. “I ask All India Sikhs Students Federation (AISSF) and ‘Sikhs for Justice’ (SFJ) who have collected million signatures on “Sikh Genocide” petition to file it with United Nations on November 1, and we hope that UN will deliver justice to the victims of 1984 Sikh Genocide”.

Political scuffle taking dangerous turn: Sarna’s petition in Delhi High Court pretends challenge to Akal Takht authority

New Delhi, India (October 12, 2013): The political scuffle between Manjit Singh GK (Current head of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee) and Paramjit Singh Sarna (former head of DSGMC) has started taking dangerous turn. As per information Paramjit Singh Sarna has filed a petition in an Indian court and it is believed that such a petition pretends challenge the authority of the Jathedar of Akal Takht. The petition was taken up by the Delhi High Court on October 08 and the matter was adjourned for October 23.
