Amritsar, Punjab (December 19, 2013): Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa who is sitting on hunger strike unto death demanding the release of 6 Sikh political prisoners who had completed their jail sentences, has sent his will to Jathedar of Akal Takht Sahib. The will was sent through a delegations of Sikh religious personalities, accompanied by many others Sikhs, from Gurdwara Amb Sahib (Mohali) to Akal Takht Sahib.
Bathinda, Punjab (December 18, 2013): As per media reports Punjab Deputy Chief Minister and President of Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) Sukhbir Singh Badal said on Dec. 17 that hsi party was always in favour of releasing those, who have completed their sentence.

Amb Sahib, Mohali (December 16, 2013): The organizers of Bandi Singh Rihai Morcha (Amb Sahib) in consultation with Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa have declared to hold district level protest demonstrations throughout Punjab. The demonstrations shall be conducted in peaceful manner and a memorandum shall be tendered to appropriate authorities demanding release of 6 Sikh political prisoners who are languishing in various jails of India despite completing the terms of their sentences.
Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) has collected the requisite information to compile following document providing necessary information about 6 Sikh political prisoners, namely Gurmeet Singh, Lakhwinder Singh, Shamsher Singh, Lal Singh, Wariam Singh and Gureep Singh, whose release is being demanded by the organizers of the Bandi Singhs Riahi Morcha (Amb Sahib).

Amb Sahib/ Mohali (December 16, 2013): On December 16, 2013 the organizers of the "Bandi Singhs Riahai Morcha" initiated by Bhai Gurbaksh Singh Khalsa issued an urgent appeal to the Sikh sangat, Sikh organizations, Singh Sabhas and Gurdwara management committees of Uttar Partesh to join the move for release of Bhai Wariam Singh, confined in a UP jail since 1990.
