New Delhi: The Central government of India today revealed the names of more than 600 Swiss Bank account holders who are reportedly holding the "black money". The government reportedly aubmitted a list of more than 600 black money account holders in a sealed envelope a day after the Supreme Court of India directed the Modi government to furnish the names of all individuals and entities in its possession who have accounts in overseas banks, legitimate or otherwise.
New Delhi, India: Anti-corruption activist Anna Hazare has reportedly written a letter to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi threatening to launch an agitation if the black-money was not brought back to India. Anna Hazare also criticized the BJP government for telling the Supreme Court that all information on black money stashed abroad can't be disclosed.
Banks in Switzerland have told Indian authorities to send requests that could be termed as “justifiable”. Banks in Switzerland said that they follow strict rules and the requests from Indian authorities must be "properly justified".
