Leicester’s first free Sikh school has shown that a good ethos is the main ingredient in creating a successful learning environment.

Leicester, UK (Oct. 03): The trustees behind Leicester’s first free Sikh school say they hope to open it shortly after half term. Falcons Primary, in Gipsy Lane, was due to open on September 3, but had its funding from the Department for Education (DfE) pulled at the last minute because of a “breakdown in relationships”.
Leicester, United Kingdom: Leicester's first Sikh free school, Falcons' Primery, has reportedly been granted "go-ahead". The school's punding was withdrawn by the Department of Education. After which a meeting was held between Akaal Trust; local MP Keith Vaz and schools minister Lord Nash.
