Punjab government has unleashed it's full scale repressive tactics against the Sikh Sangat in order to suppress a peaceful struggle demanding legal action against persons involved in sacrilege of Guru Granth Sahib.

Sikh sangat has taken strong stance against Beadbi of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village on Kotkapura to Bathinda (via Bajakhana) road. Representatives of various Sikh organizations, Sikh pracharaks and religious personalities and local Sikh sangat have reportedly blocked main chowk of Kotkapura. They are demanding strict action against culprits involved in sacrilege of saroop of Guru Granth Sahib at Bargari village.
The district police today resorted to lathicharge against the Sikh Sangat at village Buttar on Moga-Barnala road. As per information the Sikh sangat was holding a demonstration demanding action against persons involved in sacrilege Guru Granth Sahib.
