Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab (March 20, 2014): The family members of Gurdeep Singh, who was arrested by Patiala police for his alleged links with Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), cries foul and maintains that he has been falsely implicated in a terror plot case by the police.
Banur, Patiala (March 19, 2014): According to media reports the Banur team of the Patiala Police on Tuesday (March 18) claimed to have arrested six persons, four of them allegedly members of Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). The police has claimed to have 'foiled a terror plot' ahead of the Lok Sabha election.

Patiala, Punjab (October 21, 2013): Bibi Kamaldeep Kaur, sister of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, recently released a letter of Bhai Rajoana during a press conference that she would be contesting Indian Parliamentary elections from Patiala as his 'representative' from Patiala constituency. A video (apparently an edited version) of the press conference has appeared on video sharing website YouTube.
Patiala, Punjab (July 27, 2013): As per certain media reports a faction of Shiv Sena has demanded sedition charges against Sikh political prisoner Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana for raising pro-Khalistan slogans. As per information Harish Singla, the Vice-President of Shiv Sena (Bal Thackeray) Punjab has warned the Punjab government that if a case against Bhai Rajoana is not registered in this regard, their faction of Shiv Sena will stage protests against government across the state.
Patiala, Punjab (May 15, 2013): It is learnt that the activists of the Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Dakaunda held a rally protest rally, on May 14, 2013 at Patiala against acquittal of Sikh genocide accused Sajjan Kumar. The protesters took out a march, burnt effigies and submitted a charter of demands against the recent order by a Delhi court to acquit Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in the November 1984 Sikh massacre case.
Patiala, Punjab (March 30, 2013): According to certain media reports the Punjab jails department on March 29, 2013 dismissed the rumors that Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, currently on death row for assassinating former chief minister Beant Singh, has been shifted to Delhi's Tihar Jail. The authorities reportedly refuted such claims as baseless.
Patiala, Punjab (March 08, 2013): Patiala Jail superintendent Bhupinder Singh Virk reportedly wrote on March 07, 2013 to Patiala Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Gurpreet Singh Gill to provide additional security for Patiala Central Jail in the wake of 'rumours' that Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, who is on a death row and is lodged in Patiala jail, being shifted to New Delhi.
