New Delhi, India (April 25, 2013): As per information the Supreme Court of India has appointed a panel of five persons, including Supreme Court lawyers, to review the Punjabi movie Sadda Haq.

New Delhi, India (April 25, 2013): According to information available with Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the Supreme Court of India shall hold a hearing on a petition moved by the producers of the Sadda Haq Punjabi Movie against the ban imposed by Punjab, Haryana, Chandgarh, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir governments on the screening of the movie.

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 16, 2013): Punjabi singer-cum-actor Gippy Grewal has urged the Punjab government to lift the ban from Punjabi movie Sadda Haq. The movie was banned in Punjab - the home state of the producer Kuljinder Sidhu and Dinesh Sood on late night of April 4, just hours before it's release. Later the movie was also banned in Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh.

Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 6, 2013): Protesting against the ban imposed by Punjab Government on Sadda Haq Punjabi movie the producer and actor Kuljinder Sidhu has termed the ban as shameful. The film was released worldwide on Friday, April 5. However, a day ahead of the release of the film on Thursday (April 4), Punjab government decided to ban the film fearing communal tension.
