Punjabi Manch Chandigarh held a demonstration on November 01, 2017 seeking implementation of Punjabi language as administrative language of Punjabi in Chandigarh.

Producers of upcoming Punjabi movie "Patta-Patta Singhan Da Vairi" have announced that the movie will be released on April 03 under the banner of Fateh Sports Club. Chandigarh/ Punjab: As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), after success of Kaum De Heere overseas, Raj Kakra is gearing up for another movie titled “Patta Patta Singha Da Vairi”.
As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), Punjabi lyricist-cum-singer Raj Kakra’s début Punjabi movie “Kaum De Heere” will be released across India on August 22. The movie was banned by Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) in India on February 28, 2014. But now the ban has been lifted.
Melbourne, Australia (March 13, 2014): Punjabi film “Kaum De Heere”, based on events related to assassination of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi has been banned in India, but it shall be released in Australia on March 14. India's Central Board of Film Certification had declined to grant requisite certificate to the movie on January 29.

The song - “Kaum De Heere” which coincide the title of the movie, is sung by Sukshinder Shinda. The song is written by Raj Kakra whereas Sukhshinder Shinda has given the music.
