US lawsuit against Sonia Gandhi: Congress lawyer sees improper practice by Sikhs for Justice

New York, USA (October 24, 2013): According to certain media reports Congress Party’s council US – Ravi Batra said Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) had indulged in "improper judge-and-venue-shopping" while filing lawsuits against the leaders in several federal courts. He was referring to recent lawsuits filed by the Sikhs for Justice and the victims/survivors of Sikh Genocide 1984 in US Federal Courts.

Sikh Genocide 1984 Petition to be submitted to UN on 1 Nov

Jalandhar/ Ludhaina, Punjab (October 17, 2013): It is learnt that on the occasion of 29th anniversary of Sikh Genocide 1984, a petition signed by around a million Sikhs throughout world, will be filed with the United Nations in Geneva on November 1, 2013. The Sikh Genocide Petition will be handed to Navi Pillay, UN human rights chief by a delegation of rights group “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ), All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and Gurudwara representatives from Europe and North America.
