Chicago, IL: (December 13, 2013): “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) have challenged the order of US Court dismissing the rights violation case against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal.
Toronto, Canada (December 08, 2013): Thousands of Sikhs attended the “Genocide and Sovereignty” Conference held in Toronto and voiced concern for continued denial of justice and impunity to political activists and police officers involved in genocidal attacks on Sikhs during 1984.
Chicago, United States (November 27, 2013): The rights group “Sikhs for Justice” will file an appeal with the US Supreme Court challenging the Court of Appeal’s order dismissing the human rights violation case Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal. On November 26, a US Court of Appeals in Chicago dismissed the case on the ground that SFJ did not effectuate service of the Federal Court summons on CM Badal. The appeals court’s November 26 order by Judge Richard Posner of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals while dismissing the appeal gives SFJ the right to re-file the lawsuit against CM Badal.
Ontario, Canada (November 28, 2013): It is learnt that the Sikhs For Justice, a US based Sikh human rights and advocacy group, is going to hold the “Sikh Genocide and Sovereignty Conference 2013” on December 07, 2013.
New York, United States (November 25, 2013): According to certain reports the nomination of former Congress MP Sajjan Kumar's son Jag Parvesh as a candidate in Delhi assembly polls (from Sangam Vihar Colony) could figure in the amended complaint to be filed against Congress president Sonia Gandhi in a pending human rights violation case in a US court on December 3, for which an adjournment was granted by a Eastern District Court of New York on November 18, 2013 despite opposition by her counsel.
New York, United States (November 20, 2013): US Federal Court in its November 18th order has given “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) till December 3rd to file an amended complaint against Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the pending human rights violation case. Despite the opposition from Gandhi’s attorneys, the Federal court granted victims’ request for additional two weeks to amend the complaint about the role of Sonia Gandhi in protecting and shielding the Congress (I) leaders who participated in killing of Sikhs during 1984.

New York, United States (October 28, 2013): It is learnt that India’s Congress party’s president Sonia Gandhi has retained a New York law firm to defend her in a US Federal Court in a case for filed by the victims of Sikh genocide 1984 and the Sikhs for Justice, a US based human rights and advocacy group, for protecting the perpetrators of the November 1984 Sikh genocide.
