Sikh group challenges Congress Party’s motion to dismiss 1984 rights violation case; US Court set to hear “Sikh Genocide” Case on March 19

New York (February 17, 2014): As per information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN), the Sikh human rights group has filed a memorandum of law with US Federal Court in opposition to Congress party’s motion seeking dismissal of the pending 1984 rights violation case.

New Delhi, India (February 11, 2014): According to certain media reports a Sikh human rights advocacy group Sikhs for Justice has given an ad in a New York newspaper offering to give $ 20,000 reward to anyone ready to testify before a court if he or she has seen her in the city between September 2 and September 9, 2013.

Chicago, IL: (December 24, 2013): The US Circuit Court of Appeals dismissed the Petition for “Panel Rehearing” filed by “Sikhs for Justice” (SFJ) and Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) against Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Badal. The December 23 order of Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the decision that SFJ did not effectuate service of the Federal Court summons on CM Badal.
