A court of Metropolitan Magistrate of Delhi today convicted Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Prabhandak Committee (DSGMC) President Majit Singh GK and eight others for holding protests against acquittal of Sikh genocide accused Sajjan Kumar earlier this years.

Fire Damages Gurdwara in Ariyankuppam

Puducherry, India: A fire broke out in a two-room building housing a Sikh Gurdwara at Ariyankuppam on Sunday night. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Deivasigamoni said nobody was present in the building at the time of the blaze. The furniture and some gunny bags were gutted and the building suffered some damage, he added.

Gurdwara attacked at village Kurraiya district Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh

A proposal to merge Kurraiya village in Pilibhit district with a new gram panchayat has snowballed into a major issue. Those opposing the merger on Sunday (Nov. 30) attacked the local Gurdwara at Kurraiya village where a meeting was on to discuss the issue. Tension prevailed at Kurraiya village on Monday (Dec. 01).

Hisar, Haryana: The investigations into Hondh Chillar genocidal massacre of the Sikhs in November 1984 were reportedly stopped as the term of the Garg Commission constituted after 27 years of the massacre has expired. The extended term of Garg commission reportedly expired on 30 September, 2014; as a result the probe that was being conducted in a Hisar court was stopped with immediate effect.

Massive Rally in Delhi condemns state terrorism of 1984; Marks 30 years of Sikh Genocide 1984

New Delhi, India (Nov. 01): On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Sikh genocide of 1984, a massive rally and public meeting took place in Delhi on November 01, 2014. The rally was organized by Lok Raj Sangathan along with several other organisations. Hundreds of people marched from Mandi House to Jantar Mantar demanding that the guilty of 1984 must be punished and calling on the people to unite to end state terrorism.

Budhist, Muslim and Sikh communities took-out peace march in Nagpur

Nagpur, Maharashtra: In a major show of communal harmony, the members of Budhist, Sikh and Muslim communities, on Oct. 05, held an impressive peace march in Nagpur. For last two days the Nagpur was tense after a minor altercation between two groups of youth belonging to Budhist and Sikligar Sikh communities had turned serious. Leaders and representatives of these minority communities held a series of meetings to pacify the tensions. They jointly held a peace march in Nagpur covering almost all areas that had witnessed incidents of violence.

Mob attacks Sikh Gurdwara in Nagpur; Vehicles burnt, attempt to burn houses

Nagpur/Maharashtra (Oct. 03): As per media reports tensions prevailed in Nagpur after a mob besieged Sikh Gurdwara in Panchsheel Nagar of Nagpur in Maharashtra. As per a news reported by The Tribune Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) Jaswant Singh Mann said that a Sikh Gurdwara Sahib was besieged at Panchsheel Nagar (Nagpur) in Maharashtra. He said the Gurdwara was surrounded after two groups clashed over a trivial issue. He said the authorities had imposed a curfew in the area.

Sikh attacked with acid in Delhi; Hairs cut forcibly, auto-rickshaw burnt

New Delhi: A Sikh was yesterday admitted to trauma section of Safdarjang Hospital in Delhi after an acid by three persons. Ranjit Singh, 60, an auto-rickshaw driver was beaten up by three persons, reportedly of Hindu community, over some issue. The attackers also cut his hairs and attacked him with acid.

Sikhs protest out against Mohan Bhagwat outside RSS Delhi office

The could held that the CBI has a "very, very weak case" as it has failed to prove accused's presence on the spot of crime.
