The Sikh diaspora in Australia will be holding a remembrance march on November 04, 2017 in the memory of Sikhs killed during November 1984 Sikh Genocide.
To raise awareness about the Sikh identity, history and values, the first 4 day Sikh Empire Exhibition is being organised in City of Melbourne from 17th to 20th December 2016.
To commemorate the anniversary of the November 1984 Sikh Genocide and to spread awareness about the genocidal massacres of Sikhs in India amongst the Australian masses, a local Sikh body named Supreme Sikh Council took out the annual remembrance march in the memory of innocent Sikhs murdered during first week of November 1984.
New York, United States (June 11, 2014): It is learnt that six Sikh organizations have submitted a complaint to United Nations' human rights body seeking a tribunal to investigate crimes committed by the Indian government during June 1984 army attack on Darbar Sahib and other Sikh Gurdwaras. They have also urged the UN to condemn the army attack.
