It is learnt that various Sikh bodies have slammed the India's home minister for making such a statement and for resorting to rhetoric to create a fabricated adverse impression against Sikh political activists.

New Delhi, India (June 05, 2013): As per media reports Sushil Kumar Shinde, Home Minister of India, said on June 05, 2013 that Pakistan's ISI is trying to revive militancy in Punjab. While addressing the Chief Ministers' conference on internal security in Delhi, Shinde reportedly said: “Punjab militancy threat growing again. Sikh youths being trained by ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) facilities in Pakistan. Sikh youths in US, Europe are also being motivated in this regard”.
New Delhi, India (May 16, 2013): It is learnt that on May 15, 2013 India's Minister of Home Affairs Sushil Kumar Shinde told reporters in New Delhi that fresh clemency pleas moved on behalf of Prof. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar by various persons and organizations were under consideration with Government of India.
New Delhi, India (April 19, 2013): According to media reports the home minister of India, Sushil Kumar Shinde said on April 18, 2013 that the representation submitted by Punjab's ruling Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leaders seeking clemency for the 1993 Prof. Devender Pal Singh Bhullar is under consideration.
