UAD chief Bhai Mohkam Singh released on bail from Patti Jail

Amritsar: United Akali Dal (UAD) chief Bhai Mohkam Singh was released on bail from Patti jail yesterday. Bhai Mohkam Singh was arrested by the Punjab police in November 2015 in relation to a case registered against organisers of the Sarbat Khalsa 2015.

He was earlier granted bail in sedition case by the High Court but the police had rearrested him in another case. He was released from Patti Jail yesterday after he was granted bail by a court in second case also.

There are apprehensions that the Punjab police may implicate him in some other case and he may be rearrested.

Notably, Bhai Baljit Singh who was granted bail by the Punjab and Haryana High Court few days back was arrested yesterday on productions warrants by Firozepur police. He was arrested by Firozepur police before his release on bail from Hoshiarpur jail.
