UK Sikhs demand police apology over 55 arrests at Leamington Gurdwara

Leamington: As per media reports, the UK Sikh community leaders have hit out at UK police over their handling of a ‘peaceful demonstration’ after 55 protesters were arrested at Leamington Spa Gurdwara Sahib.
The Sikh Federation UK has asked the Warwickshire police to apologise for what it deems a “disproportionate” response at a ‘peaceful’ protest at a Gurdwara Sahib in Leamington Spa.

Officers detained 55 men on suspicion of “aggravated trespass” after being called at about 6.45 am on Sunday. 54 persons were bailed out on Monday.
