Fatehgarh Sahib/ Chandigarh: Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) chief S. Simranjeet Singh Mann has urged to the United Nations Security Council and international human rights forums such as UN Human Rights Commission and Human Rights Watch to take immediate steps to prevent the further escalation of situation between India and Pakistan that could lead to nuclear war.
S. Mann said that the United States of America (USA) should use its influence over the Indian State to prevent the war.

He accused India for behaving in an arrogant manner with the neighbouring countries. “As a result of USA-India military agreement, India is behaving arrogantly with its neighbours. This is very dangerous situation where Punjab and Sikh nation are caught in a complex situation. If Hindu India and Muslim Pakistan goes for war, the Sikh nation is likely to suffer the most as we are located between these two nuclear powers. The war could lead to genocide of the Sikhs” he added.

S. Simranjeet Singh Mann said that the escalation of tensions between India and Pakistan were ominous signs for regional and world peace also, therefore world powers must intervene to cool down the situation.
