Chandigarh (March 30, 2010): A special trial court on Tuesday sentensed Paramjit Singh Bheora to undergo imprisionment for life for his involvement in the assassination of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh 14 years ago.

Chandigarh (March 29, 2010): A special court on Monday convicted Bhai Paramjit Singh Bheora in the 1995 assassination of former Punjab chief minister Beant Singh. Bheora was held guilty by additional district and sessions judge Ravi Kumar Sondhi in the trial held in the high security model jail here. The sentence will be announced on Tuesday.

Ludhiana (March 29, 2010): “Kamal Nath, MP and Indian Union Minister for Transport led an armed mob that attacked and demolished Gurudwara Rakab Ganj, in Delhi burning several Sikhs alive in November 1984” alleged attorney Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, legal advisor for Sikhs for Justice, a US based human rights advocacy group, in an email sent to SikhSiyasat Network by SFJ.

New Delhi (March 29, 2010): On behalf of Sikhs for Justice, Advocate Rebacca M John, in the case of victim Lakhwinder Kaur, told ACMM Rakesh Pandit that CBI has failed once again; whatever they did, it was only to shield the accused. She further told the court that instead of protecting the witnesses, CBI started with the premise that they were not reliable.
New Delhi (March 29, 2010): On behalf of Sikhs for Justice, Advocate Rebacca M John, in the case of victim Lakhwinder Kaur, told ACMM Rakesh Pandit that CBI has failed once again; whatever they did, it was only to shield the accused.
