Ludhiana/Punjab (November 06, 2012): According an EcoSikh newsletter: Gurpreet Singh Dipak presented on Sikh faith based perspectives on climate change and represented Ecosikh at Powershift 2012, an environmental, youth led conference on climate justice held in Ottawa, Canada over the 26-29 of October.
Hoshiarpur, Punjab (November 06, 2012): The Dal Khalsa has slammed Indian civil society for remaining silent in the case of 'Iron Lady of Manipur' Irom Chanu Sharmila, who is on on hunger strike since 2000 demanding repeal of 'draconian' Armed Forces Special Power Act (AFSPA).and the international community for not showing proper concern against 'ethnic cleansing' of Rohingyas in Burma.
Ludhiana (November 08, 2012): It is learnt that Jesse Jackson from the “Rainbow PUSH Coalition” has recognized the "United Sikhs" with a Humanitarian Award for its remarkable work in the field of Advocacy and Humanitarian Aid.
New Delhi/Ludhaina, India (November 06, 2012): India has once again shouted it's alleged concerns about so-called “Sikh extremism” in Canada. According to media reports: “It’s the latest in a string of efforts by Indian authorities, including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, to press Ottawa to stay vigilant about Sikhs in Canada who favour the establishment of Khalistan”.

Chandigarh, Punjab (November 05, 2012): As per reports the members of Students for Society (SFS) organized a demonstration on November 04, 2012 at Punjab University, Chandigarh campus demanding justice for the victims of November 1984 violence against the Sikhs.
As per news reports a 31-year-old Severna Park man who said he is following directions from God to visit sites of tragedies in the United States was recently detained and interviewed by authorities after ammunition was found in his car outside the Sikh Gurudwara of Wisconsin, where a gunman killed six worshippers and himself in August, police reported.
