Chandigarh/ Punjab (April 30, 2014): As per media reports [f]earing his arrest in a "created case" by Punjab politicians, former Punjab DGP (Prisons) and Aam Aadmi Party leader Shashi Kant has moved the Punjab and Haryana high court seeking anticipatory bail in any criminal case to be registered against him in the state.

The police has reportedly registered an FIR in this regard. The police has also taken some persons in custody for damaging the voting machine.
