Sikh bodies, scholars want Akal Takht withdraw Panth Rattan Title from Parkash Singh Badal for his anti-Panthic activities

Chandigarh, Punjab (May 05, 2014): According to media reports various Human rights organisations and Sikh political, social groups and the Sikh intellectuals have approached the Akal Takht Jathedar, Giani Gurbachan Singh, seeking that “Panth Rattan Fakhr-e-Quam” conferred on CM Parkash Singh Badal be taken back for his “anti-Panthic” activities and the “widespread drug addiction and violation of human rights” in the state.

Polling was held in all 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab on April 30.
