Zirakpur/ Chandigarh (August 16, 2014): Giani Mull Singh, Jathedar of Takhat Sri Kesgarh Sahib inaugurated a green park at historical Gurdwara Nabha Sahib today at Zirakpur. A tree was planted after the curtain raiser by Giani Mull Singh after the ardas in the Gurdwara hall.
Barnala, Punjab (August 16, 2014): According to information available with the Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) Jasvir Singh Jassa of Manki village of Barnala, who was picked up by the police on August 13, 2014 has been lodged in Malerkotla jail.
Khanna, Punjab (August 16, 2014): Punjab congress leader Sukhpal Khaira reportedly reached Khanna today to offer bail bond for Vikram Kumar, who had hurled shoe at Punjab chief minister Parkash SIngh Badal at Isru yesterday. But after SDM denied bail to Vikram Kumar, Sukhpal Khaira urged Punjab chief mintier Parkash Singh Badal to release Vikram on moral grounds.

New York, USA (August 16, 2014): The Sikh rights group Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) has alleged that the White House officials have deliberately deleted bulks of entries of online petition to flop the campaign to stop Indian Prime Minister Nardendera Modi. According to Sikhs24, the SFJ has alleged that by the morning of August 13th, the online petition had 100,059 entries, however a bulk of the signatures were removed later on during the day on August 13.

Khanna/ Ludhiana (August 16, 2014): In the much hyped incident of hurling shoe at Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal by a youth, the Punjab police have come up with a claim that the youth identified as Vikram Kumar alias Babbi is Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener of Dhanula unit in Barnala district.
