Sikh bodies honor the US Attorney General Eric Holder with a Sewa (Service) Award

The Sikh community represented by the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation (GGSF) of Rockville, Maryland and National Sikh Center (NSC) of Washington, D.C. honored the Attorney General of the United States, Eric Holder, with a Siropa (a robe of honor) and a Sewa Service Award. Seven members of the Guru Gobind Singh Foundation were present during this ceremony at the headquarters of the Department of Justice in the nation’s capital.

I received your "Show Cause Notice" around midnight on the 17th. Frankly, I have been in a dilemma on whether to respond to this communication. On the one hand it appears part of a pre-scripted drama where the outcome is already decided and well-known. Participating in this drama could only legitimize it, I am told.

Hurriyat Conference has reportedly filed a petition before the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) seeking its investigation in Budgam Incident in which a class 9 student Suhail Ahmad Sofi was shot dead by a CRPF constable following instructions from ASI Manzoor Ahmad. Hurriyat has demanded for suspension of the accused cops and prosecution in civil court in the petition.
