A US Federal Court of Appeals has calendared oral arguments in rights violation case filed against Sonia Gandhi for August 18. The lawsuit had alleged that Congress President was shielding, protecting and rewarding the perpetrators massacre of November 1984 when thousands of innocents Sikhs were killed in the aftermath of assassination of Indira Gandhi.
Following the Antim Ardas program of Shaheed Bhai Jashjeet Singh Jammu, Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar and Sikh Youth Front today honoured the victim Singhs of Jammu firing incident with memento of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and Siropao by visiting their homes.
Bapu Surat Singh Khalsa's hunger-stike entered 150th day today. He is on indefinite hunger strike seeking release of Sikh political prisoners who are jailed in India beyond the mandatory terms of their sentences.

The Jammu and Kashmir police have reportedly detained Advo. Harpal Singh Cheema (Akali Dal Panch Pardhani) and S. Kanwar Pal Singh and Dr. Manjinder Singh Jandi of Dal Khalsa in Srinagar. These Sikh leaders were in Srinagar to participate in a Seminar being organized by All Party Hurriyat Conference led by SAS Geelani. The theme of seminar was “How to Resist the Indian State Fascism”.
