Yesterday on 30th July team of four journalists from News18(A private news company) went to investigate illegal mining near Amir Khas village in Jalalabad(Ferozepur). As they started their activities, they got surrounded by a group of unidentified people and they started beating them. The reporters Neeraj Bali, video journalist Sandeep Kumar and Prithpal Singh were harmed and got several injuries another reporter Suraj Bhan succeeded to escape from the place of action.

"More than 900 people participated in the survey, commissioned by the Dandenong Council with more people saying no to the proposal. The survey information and other matters came up recently before a meeting of the Indian Prescient Task Force led by Gabrielle Williams, MP, Dandenong", noted a report in South Asia Times (SAT).
In response to these ignorant comments about Gurbir Grewal and the Sikh community urged for a public apology from the hosts and station. A US-based civil rights group the Sikh Coalition reportedly provided media resources on Sikhi for the entire radio station and offered cultural and religious sensitivity training for all staff members.
