Three Sikh groups namely Dal Khalsa, United Akali Dal and Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar (Mann) held a gathering at Kisan Bhawan (Sector 35A, Chandigarh) on July 26, 2019 to deliberate on continued loot of river waters, resurfacing of SYL canal row, letting off four police convicts by state Govt, refusing to release Sikh political prisoners who have completed life sentence , making UAPA 1967 more draconian, giving unbridled powers to NIA, derailing Bargari Beadbi case and infringement of state's right by the centre. The meeting decided to protest against injustices, discriminations and suppression of rights on August 15.
