As per media reports, a group of Islamic Scholars visited Kartarpur Sahib on Wednesday (January 1). The group which comprised scholars of different schools of thought said that Kartarpur Corridor is practical demonstration of interfaith harmony and religious freedom.
New Indian Army chief M. M. Naravane on Wednesday said that the Indian State's border with China were not settled yet. He said with China, the Indian state has "Line of Actual Control" (LoAC). He hoped that maintaining peace and tranquility along India's border with China will lead to an "eventual solution" to the boundary dispute.
As per reports the Madhya Pradesh administration on December 30, 2019 demolished around nine Sikh houses and destroyed crops in around two hundred acres in Patari, Gothra, Panwada and Lehroni villages of Tehsil Karhal (District Sheopur). These Sikhs had been living there for more than three decades after migrating from the states of Punjab and Haryana.
Local leaders of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) today submitted a memorandum to local administration in Sangrur demanding ban on the visit of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) student leader Umar Khalid to Malerkotla.
